Ron Evans has been recruiting, assessing and advising leadership teams and investors at dynamic growth companies for 30+ years. He has served at global consultancies such as Korn/Ferry, Ward Howell, and Ernst & Young, and is currently Chairman of the Board of SIMA International. He has led hundreds of senior management selection and consulting assignments for industrial and technology companies. Using the SIMA process, he focuses on helping organizations and individuals leverage their innate strengths to grow and transform their businesses.
Ron’s work with PE and VC investors focuses on portfolio company leadership assessment and selection. His multi-industry perspective offers investors a ‘wide angle view’ of successful leadership behaviors, having evaluated and recruited dozens of CEOs and other ‘C’ level executives. Investors and funds he has served include First Capital Partners, Maxim Partners, Century Park Capital Partners, Lynwood Capital, Kestrel Capital Group and others. Ron is also an active angel investor and advisor to early stage companies and venture capital investors.
Ron began his career developing management training seminars for UCAC, the nation’s largest cost control service for unemployment tax liability. He was recruited to Information Retrieval Methods (IRM) to design and develop retail marketplace systems for Seagrams & Sons, Procter & Gamble, Miller Brewing, Mattel Toys, General Motors, and Johnson & Johnson. He later worked for Korn/Ferry International and Ernst & Young where he rose from manager, to senior manager and finally served as practice leader for Human Resource Consulting in the southern US. Ron launched ESearch Group in 1994, which he merged into SIMA International in 2004.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Ron has been featured in the Wall Street Journal online edition (see www.careerjournal.com) and is author of the popular executive guidebook Kiss Your Resume Goodbye. He is past Chairman of Avon Chamber of Commerce and has served on the boards of Dallas Helps, Fairpark Friendship Center and Fellowship Bible Church. Ron has been married to the love of his life, Cindy, for more than 30 years. They have three sons.
